HelpReviews and stats

Find a trade by what you wrote

Short answer

Type a word in Words in notes on Trades or Stats. Vink lists the trades whose notes, mental notes, your own text fields or tag names contain it, shows the sentence it was found in, and narrows Stats to those trades.

The filter bar on Trades and Stats has a search field, Words in notes…. It finds every trade where you wrote those words.

What it looks in

  • The trade's notes.
  • Its mental notes.
  • The text you typed in your own fields. A field you archived isn't searched.
  • The names of the tags on the trade.

Capitals don't matter, and part of a word is enough: "chase" finds "chased".

Search on Trades

  1. Open Trades.
  2. Type in Words in notes…. The list updates when you stop typing.

Under each trade, Vink shows where the words were found (Notes, Mental or the name of your field) and the sentence around them, with the words marked. When a tag name matches, the tag itself is outlined.

Above the list, a line says how many trades mention the words. When two or more of them have a chart, Compare these lines their charts up side by side. If only some of the matches have a chart, the button says how many, like Compare 2 of them. Compare shows up to six.

Search on Stats

Type in Words in notes… and press Enter. Every figure on the page then reads only those trades, so you can see how the trades where you wrote "FOMO" did.

Combine it with the other filters

The search works together with direction, outcome, ticker, weekday, News day, Tags and Mental: a trade must match all of them. Match All or Any applies to tags and mental conditions only, never to the search. Clear all removes the search too.
