Write your trading plan

A trading plan is part of setting up Vink, not part of your daily routine. You write it once and change it when your trading changes. Every question can be skipped.

Write it

1. Open Trading plan and click Start.
2. Answer a question and click Next, or click Skip. Back goes to the one before.
3. On the last question, click See my plan. Vink lists your rules.
4. Click Save my plan.

Nothing is saved until that last step, so you can stop halfway with Not now and start again later.

The questions

There are fifteen, in six groups:

• What and when: the symbols you trade, the days, and the hours you take trades.
• Risk: your most risk on one trade, whether every trade has a stop-loss, and the lowest planned R:R you take.
• Your day: the most trades in a day, the loss where you stop, how many losses in a row stop you, how long you wait after a loss, and the profit where a good day ends.
• Before you enter: what has to be true before you enter, and when you don't trade.
• In the trade: how you manage a trade once you're in.
• Your setups: the setups you trade. These become your Setups tags.

Rules Vink checks, and rules you tick

Each rule on your plan is marked Vink checks or You tick.

Vink checks the rules it can measure, such as your symbols, hours, risk, stop-loss and trades per day. When a trade you log today breaks one, a small note appears in the corner with the rule and one fact, for example This trade has no stop. Each rule speaks at most once a day. Check in opens the mental journal.

The rules about your entries and how you manage a trade are yours to judge. They appear as a checklist on the trade form under Your plan: tap a rule once for kept, twice for broke, or click All kept.

Where your plan shows up

• On the dashboard, under Your plan.
• In your weekly review, under Your plan.
• In Stats, as the question Do I keep my plan?.
• In the tilt check before a new trade.

Change it

Open Trading plan and click Edit plan. To add rules, click Add more by answering the questions. Click Done when you're finished.
