About
I built the journal I kept looking for. It reads your screenshot, so logging a trade only takes a few seconds.
I'm Jinne Vinkesteijn, a trader in the Netherlands.
Why Vink exists
I've traded since 2021, mostly forex, on prop-firm accounts and my own money. I tried trading journals, but I kept falling back to a folder of chart screenshots. A screenshot shows you the trade at a glance. It just doesn't keep track of anything.
The journals that did track the data took too long to log a trade, missed features I wanted, or cost more than I wanted to pay. And when they showed me their statistics, I didn't know what to do with them.
What I wanted was simple: upload a screenshot and put my words next to it. So that's how Vink works. It reads the chart and fills in the numbers, you check them and add your notes. A screenshot works from any platform, so there's no broker to connect.
How I run it
I build and run Vink on my own, from the Netherlands, and I answer every email myself. There are no investors, Vink is paid for by the people who use it.
Your journal is stored in Frankfurt, and you can export or delete it whenever you want. Vink will never be a tool that sells your data.
The name Vink is derived from my surname, Vinkesteijn. In Dutch a vinkje is a check mark. So by journaling your trades, you tick them off.
My goal is simple: Vink should be the best trading journal there is, for a reasonable price.
