Use the Simple world

Vink has two worlds. Detailed is the full journal: the trade form with every field, Stats, reviews, tags, the calendar and the prop-firm rules. Simple is two screens: log a trade, and see how you're doing. Nothing is switched off in Simple. There's just less of it on screen.

Why Simple exists

Simple is for when you want journaling to take seconds. On the trade itself, it asks only for what you can fill in right away: the numbers from your chart, the result, and one line if you like. The setup and how the trade felt come later, when you wrap up the day.

Use it when:

• you want to log a trade quickly, right after you take it;
• the full form feels like too much on a busy day;
• you want to see your record without the analysis around it.

Switch to Detailed when you want Stats, your weekly review, the mental journal or your trading plan. Your trades are the same in both.

Switch between Detailed and Simple

Click Detailed | Simple. In Detailed it's at the top of the menu. In Simple it's at the top right of the home screen. Vink remembers your choice on your account, so it follows you to other devices.

After three trading days in Detailed, the dashboard may offer Switch to simple. You can switch back at any time.

Log a trade

1. On the Simple home screen, click Log a trade.
2. Drop your chart screenshot, or paste it anywhere on the screen. Vink reads the symbol, direction, entry, stop, take profit and exit.
3. Check the fields. Only Symbol and Entry are required.
4. Fill in Result in money or in R. You can type a sum, like 200+230.
5. Add a Note on the trade if you like.
6. Click Save trade.

Vink sets the result state from the numbers: win, loss, open and so on. Pick one yourself to change it. With more than one account, tick the Accounts to save the trade to. Simple has no way to log a missed trade. Use Detailed for that.

Your record

The home screen shows your last 35 days, one cell for each day you traded. Below it are your net result, win rate and number of trades for the period you pick: This wk, 7d, 30d or All. The account picker at the top chooses which accounts count.

Under the record are today's trades and earlier ones. Click a trade to open it.

Wrap up the day

When today's trades still lack a tag or how they felt, the home screen asks Done for the day?. Click Review today to see each trade and what it still needs. Fill in → opens the full trade form, where the tags and the mindset section are. When you save, you come back to the list.

Edit or delete a trade in Simple

Click a trade to open it, change the fields and click Save changes. Saving in Simple changes only the fields Simple shows. Tags, how the trade felt, partial exits and other details stay as they are. If a trade has any of them, Vink says so and offers Edit it in the detailed view.

To delete a trade, open it and click Delete this trade, then Delete trade. Deleting removes the screenshot too, and can't be undone.

What stays in Detailed

Stats, your reviews, the mental journal, your trading plan, the news calendar, tags and custom fields live in Detailed. Your prop-firm rules still apply to trades you log in Simple. Settings, Plan & billing and Support are in the account menu at the top right of the Simple home screen.
