Check the news calendar

The news calendar lists the week's economic events, such as NFP, CPI and central-bank decisions. Vink refreshes it every hour.

Read the calendar

Open News calendar. Events are grouped by day, and each one shows its time, currency, impact and title. F is the forecast and P the previous figure. Times are shown in your own time zone, which the page names at the top.

Click ← Earlier to see past weeks. The calendar starts from the week Vink first loaded it, and you can't open weeks ahead of this one.

Filter it

• Under Currencies, pick the currencies you trade, or All for every one.
• Pick the impact: All impacts, High only or High + Medium.

Bank holidays show under every impact filter. Vink remembers your currencies for your account, and your impact choice in this browser.

News on the dashboard

The dashboard's Today line shows the next high-impact event for your currencies. It opens by itself on your first visit of the day, with Full calendar → to the whole week. The currencies are the ones you picked in the news calendar.

News near a trade

A trade's page shows News near this trade: high-impact events for the trade's currencies within 60 minutes of the entry or exit, or while the trade was open, and bank holidays on the days it was open. Each event is marked Before entry, During trade or After exit.

This works for forex pairs, metals and indices. Single stocks and crypto have no news card. Vink compares the event with the times on your trade, so if you entered your trade times in your broker's time, the card is off by the difference. Times are off by hours explains it.

Trades on news days

On Trades and Stats, the filter News day shows only trades entered on a day with high-impact news for their currency. On Stats, under All numbers, the tab Time & news compares your news days with quiet days.
