Share your journal with an accountability partner
Short answer
Open Accountability and click + Invite a peer. Your partner gets an email and opens a read-only dashboard, with or without a Vink account. They never see your screenshots, trade notes or reviews. Click Remove to stop.
An accountability partner sees a read-only summary of your trading: your daily loss limit, your results and your discipline. You choose what else each person sees. They never see your screenshots, trade notes or reviews.
Invite someone
- Open Accountability and click + Invite a peer.
- Type their email address and click Invite.
They get an email with Accept invitation. The invitation lasts seven days. You can have up to 10 partners, counting invitations not yet accepted.
How your partner opens it
Being a partner is free, and they don't need a Vink account.
- Without an account, they click View without an account. Vink emails a six-digit code to the invited address. The code works for 10 minutes, and the browser stays signed in for 30 days. After that, or on another device, they get a new code the same way.
- With a Vink account on that address, they click Accept with your Vink account and find your dashboard on their own Accountability page.
What your partner sees
- Your Daily loss limit: today and your streak, and whether you're within it.
- A summary: trades, win rate, net R, profit factor and your performance curve.
- Your discipline: how often you followed your plan, your reviews, and the risky emotions you flagged.
- When you last traded and last reviewed.
Click Visibility on their row to choose more:
- the Time period they see, or Let them choose;
- Show money amounts (else R / % only);
- Show recent trades: the instrument, time, direction and outcome only, never prices or amounts;
- Share my mental journal (feelings and emotions), and Include what I wrote to add your notes.
Click Save. Under Sharing defaults you set what new partners see.
Messages and alerts
Your partner can send you a short message. It shows on your Accountability page under Messages from your peers. They can't comment on your trades.
Under Sharing defaults, you can let Vink email your partners when you hit your daily loss limit. It sends at most one email a day, and only to partners who switched it on too.
Stop sharing
Click Remove on their row. Their access ends, and their messages are removed with it. Your partner can also stop on their side: Stop on their Accountability page, or Stop being their partner without an account.
