Calculator · Trading math #2
How often do you need to win? It depends on one number.
Move your risk to reward and the needle swings to the win rate you need to break even.
33%
to break even at 1 : 2
At 40% you are 7 points above it: +0.20R a trade on average.
The math
A win pays R and a loss costs 1. Over many trades you break even when wins × R equals losses × 1, so the win rate you need is 1 ÷ (1 + R). Fees and slippage raise it a little.

Vink works this out from your own trades. From one screenshot each.
Drop in a TradingView screenshot. Vink reads the entry, stop-loss and target, so every trade carries its risk to reward. Stats shows your break-even win rate from your own trades, beside the win rate you actually have.
